Agronomic Features
Gatsby with slightly lower tuber numbers bulks rapidly to produce an early baker crop. Gatsby has scored well in performance trials showing clear improvement over controls in resistance to late Blight, Dry rot (F.sulphureum), Powdery scab and PVA. Gatsby additionally shows some resistance to Pallida Pa2/3.
Crop Quality
Gatsby is an early maincrop variety producing good yields of bold white tubers ideal for the baker market. The tubers have bright skin finish and cream flesh. With a similar dry matter to Estima, Gatsby has a pleasing taste and flavour.
